Details:

Employability is an increasingly significant demand in higher education especially in the wake of the Browne review. Students and funders are more concerned about how investment in degree level study will develop preparedness for work. This conference will explore employability in philosophy by offering a mix of academic reflection on employability and practical advice on enhancing the employability of graduates from the discipline in ways that do justice to the unique benefits and qualities of the subject.

The event will be of interest to:

  • Philosophy academics, particularly those responsible for curriculum design
  • Others involved in supporting or delivering philosophy teaching and learning, including careers advisers and educational developers
  • Philosophy students (past, present and prospective)

This event is offered free of charge to staff and students in UK higher education. For more information, and to register, please visit the registration page: https://my.heacademy.ac.uk/multievents/displayEvent.asp?Type=Full&Code=AY0710
